About John

My general goal behind my photography is to create images that I can not see without the use of a camera and lens. My interests lie in flower, macro, and abstract photography. I enjoy using selective focus as a technique to help create motion through a photograph. Recently I have picked up interest in Impressionism but oddly as a result of exploring photography. I eventually discovered that some of my photographs took an Impressionistic look and started to learn more about the style. In some of my photographs you can notice very little if anything in focus and certainly I am not afraid to shoot wide open as opposed to attempting to get everything in focus . I enjoy the resulting blended colors, moody feel, and "peripheral" look.
